Notify me when its in stockThe MQ-2 gas sensor is a type of sensor that detects combustible gas and smoke at concentrations from 300 to 10,000 ppm. The analog voltage information it provides as an output according to the state of the gas in the environment makes the sensor quite easy to use.
To use the MQ-2 Combustible Gas and Smoke Sensor with microcontrollers such as Arduino® boards, you need a carrier board.
By supplying 5V to the H pins, you ensure that the sensor heats up sufficiently and thus works fully and with accurate measurements. Applying 5V voltage to pin A or B causes the sensor to output an analog voltage through its other pins. You can change the sensitivity of the sensor in proportion to the resistor value you connect between the ground and the output pin of the sensor. This resistor value may vary depending on the application you will make; you can find calculations related to this in the datasheet. You can use a 20 kΩ resistor as an example starting value.
