The GP2Y0A710K0F is a distance measurement sensor consisting of an integrated combination of PSD (position sensitive detector), IRED (infrared emitting diode) and signal processing circuitry. The reflection diversity of the object, the ambient temperature and the operating time do not easily affect the distance sensing due to the adoption of the triangulation method. This device outputs the voltage corresponding to the sensing distance. So this sensor can also be used as a proximity sensor.
