Notify me when its in stockThe shield, which is a driver expansion board, can be used in projects requiring stepper motor control, especially CNC machines, 2-3 axis pen plotter projects, and laser cutting or engraving machines.
Although it is possible to use it in 3D printers, the pin count of the Arduino® UNO R3 board will not be sufficient to control a 3D printer.
4 drivers can be plugged onto the shield board. These are the X, Y, Z, and A axes. Under normal conditions, the A axis is not connected to any pin of the Arduino® UNO R3.
For the A axis, one of the X-Y-Z axes can be cloned if desired, or there is a jumper configuration in the area marked in green in the image below, which allows connection to pins D12 and D13 of the Arduino® UNO R3.
