Soil Hygrometer Moisture Detection - Moisture Monitoring Module is a module used to measure soil moisture. With this module, you can control the water requirement level of your plants by measuring the moisture of the soil in your pots, garden and greenhouse. You can help remember to water your plants by setting up an alarm system with a small buzzer, and you can also do this automatically using a water pump.
The Soil Hygrometer Moisture Detection - Moisture Monitoring Module has 2 probes, one of which is the positive side and the other is the negative side. An electric current flows through the ground between the two probes and encounters a resistance as it passes. This resistance is calculated with certain mathematical operations and the moisture in the soil is measured. This process requires 12V and this voltage can damage the Arduino, so a relay module is put between the Arduino and the module. (Relay module is included in the package content).
