The Active Buzzer Module is a practical and easy-to-use sound output module capable of generating sound directly via a digital signal. Thanks to its built-in oscillator circuit, it does not require an external PWM signal or frequency generation. Sound output can be obtained simply by applying a logic-level (HIGH / LOW) signal.
Fully compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP8266, ESP32, and other microcontroller boards, this module is widely used in alarm systems, warning circuits, timers, robotic projects, and educational applications. Its compact size and low power consumption make it suitable for both portable and fixed projects.
Active buzzer modules are easier to use compared to passive buzzers. While passive buzzers require a PWM signal to generate sound, the active buzzer module produces sound at a fixed frequency when triggered with a HIGH logic level. It remains completely silent at a LOW level. This feature allows fast and simple implementation with minimal coding on the software side.
