Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 is a high-performance camera module specifically designed for Raspberry Pi boards. Equipped with an 8 megapixel Sony IMX219 sensor, it enables high-resolution photography and Full HD video recording. It is widely used in robotics projects, image processing applications, security systems, and educational projects.

The camera module connects via the CSI (Camera Serial Interface) port on Raspberry Pi boards and is natively supported by Raspberry Pi OS. This allows for quick and hassle-free operation without the need for additional drivers or hardware.

The Raspberry Pi Camera Module V2 can be used with Raspberry Pi Zero; however, since the Raspberry Pi Zero features a 22-pin camera connector, the standard camera cable is not directly compatible. To use this camera module with Raspberry Pi Zero, a dedicated adapter camera cable is required. For this purpose, the Raspberry Pi Zero V1.3 Camera Cable (30cm) must be used.
