US-100 Ultrasonic Sensor Module - Temperature Distance Measurement
US-100 Ultrasonic Sensor Module - Temperature Distance Measurement is an ultrasonic sensor operating in the range of 2cm to 450cm. They are used for temperature distance measurement and presence detection. It is powered by a voltage of 5V. The output is a signal whose duration is proportional to the distance being measured.
How Does the US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Module Work?
In order to operate the sensor, we must first apply a 5V pulse of 10us duration to the Trig pin. Then the sensor will transmit 8 ultrasonic pulses at 40KHz (above human hearing) with the transmitting transducer. The echo pin goes low and a pulse is produced which is used to calculate the distance. If the sound waves do not reflect back, after a period of 38ms the echo pin turns low and generates a pulse.
