The TF Mini LiDAR Sensor is a distance measurement sensor that operates based on the time-of-flight (ToF) of unidirectional laser light. It is a high-level sensor capable of delivering high performance in a small form factor. The TF Mini LiDAR sensor uses UART communication as its communication protocol. It can be used directly with development boards such as Arduino® boards. Additionally, if desired, it can be used directly with a computer using a USB-UART converter board. The software required for this is provided for your use in the documents section.
The TF Mini LiDAR can measure distances between 0.3 and 12 meters. With a refresh rate of 100Hz, it operates with an accuracy of 4 cm between 0.3 - 6 meters, and 6 cm between 6 - 12 meters.
Important Notes:
The TF Mini LiDAR may not work on highly reflective surfaces such as mirrors or smooth tiles.
There may be difficulties in obtaining accurate results on highly transparent objects such as water or glass.
Do not touch the circuit board with bare hands. Wear electrostatic gloves if necessary.
