The XBLW L293D is a four-channel push-pull DC motor driver integrated circuit compatible with TTL and CMOS logic levels. Thanks to its internal clamp diodes, it provides protection against voltage spikes caused by inductive loads. It can be safely used for driving inductive loads such as DC motors, stepper motors, relays, and solenoids.
Offering 600mA continuous output current per channel and up to 1.2A peak current capability, the L293D features two full H-bridge structures, making it ideal for controlling two DC motors or a single stepper motor. Separate logic and motor supply inputs allow flexible and safe operation in microcontroller-based projects. Its DIP-16 through-hole package enables easy mounting on breadboards and soldered PCBs.
