Notify me when its in stockThe USB Host Shield for Arduino is a highly useful expansion board that adds USB interface features to development boards in the Arduino® ecosystem and allows you to plug various USB devices directly into your hardware.
Thanks to the shield, you can connect a keyboard or mouse to your development board, perform wireless communication using a Bluetooth dongle, and even integrate a barcode scanner or your smartphone directly into your project.
The MAX3421E is used as the USB Host/SPI converter IC on the board.
It is fully compatible with the original Arduino® UNO R3 and Arduino® Mega 2560 R3 hardware. In addition, thanks to the 5V/3.3V selection feature on it, it can also be used seamlessly with boards operating at a 3.3V logic level.

If you are unfamiliar with the Arduino® ecosystem, you can check out our Lessons for Arduino® series on our blog.
