Nextion is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) solution that combines the onboard processor and touch memory display with Nextion Editor software for HMI GUI project development. Using the NEXTION Editor software, it offers the possibility to quickly develop the HMI GUI with ASCII text-based instructions for dragging and dropping components (graphics, text, buttons, sliders, etc.) and coding how components interact on the screen side. The Nextion HMI display is connected to the peripheral MCU via TTL Serial (5V, TX, RX, GND) to provide event notifications that the peripheral MCU can handle, the peripheral MCU can easily update the progress and status to the Nextion display using simple ASCII text-based instructions.
