The STM32 Nucleo-64 NUCLEO-WB55RG is a dual-core, multi-protocol development board specifically designed for modern IoT projects that require wireless communication capabilities. Featuring the STM32WB55RG microcontroller, it offers unmatched stability and power efficiency by housing a 64 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 application core and a 32 MHz ARM Cortex-M0+ core dedicated solely to managing the network and radio layer securely and independently.
This hardware allows you to build smart home and industrial wireless sensor networks by supporting Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 5.2), Zigbee, OpenThread, and 802.15.4 protocols natively on a single chip. Thanks to its integrated PCB antenna, it is ready for wireless communication right out of the box. For expandability, the board is equipped with Arduino Uno V3 and ST morpho headers. Furthermore, the built-in ST-LINK/V2-1 programmer enables instant programming and debugging without the need for an external device.
Key Features:
- Dual-Core Architecture: Ensures real-time performance and data security with a Cortex-M4 (with FPU) for application execution and a dedicated Cortex-M0+ for wireless communication and security tasks.
- Multi-Protocol Wireless: Hardware support for Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.2, IEEE 802.15.4, Zigbee®, and Thread communication standards.
- Large Memory Capacity: 1 MB of Flash and 256 KB of SRAM, comfortably accommodating extensive wireless networking stacks and user application codes.
- Integrated Wireless Hardware: Enables immediate wireless communication testing straight out of the box, thanks to the integrated 2.4 GHz PCB antenna.
- Built-in Programmer: The onboard ST-LINK/V2-1 interface provides drag-and-drop programming and virtual COM port functionalities.
