The MAX3232 is an integrated circuit featuring two line drivers, two receivers, and a dual charge pump. It operates with only four 0.1µF capacitors and provides true RS-232 signaling over a voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V. Its low-power transmitter output makes it energy efficient and supports data rates up to 235 kbit/s. It can be powered from a single 3V–5.5V supply.
