Creality Ender 5 Plus 3D Printer
The Creality Ender 5 Plus is a professional-grade 3D printer designed for users who need a large build volume, whether at home or in a professional environment. In addition to its generous build area, it stands out with features such as automatic bed leveling, a touch screen, dual Z-axis motors, and a filament run-out sensor.
Ender 5 Plus, like other Creality printers, is delivered semi-assembled. By following the assembly manual and available video guides, you can complete the setup in a short time and quickly start printing.
Dual Z Motor Bed
The Ender 5 Plus features a cubic frame structure, which provides a much more rigid and stable body. Because the print bed is large and moves along the Z-axis, it is supported by 4 guide rods and 2 lead screws, for a total of 6 rods. This significantly increases the stability of the build platform. Thanks to the dual Z motors, the bed moves evenly from both sides. On printers where the bed is driven from only one side, poor assembly can cause wobbling during movement.
Automatic Bed Leveling
The Ender 5 Plus comes with a built-in BLTouch sensor. This sensor measures the surface of the build plate relative to the nozzle and, using a feature called “Mesh Leveling,” actively compensates during printing to keep the layer height consistent at every point on the bed.
Touch Screen
Creality Ender 5 Plus uses a 4.3-inch touch screen instead of the standard graphic LCD displays found on many 3D printers. Besides offering a more modern appearance, the touch interface is also much more user-friendly. For example, on printers with a rotary knob, you need to scroll for a long time just to set the nozzle temperature, whereas on the touch screen you can simply tap and enter the desired value directly.
Filament Sensor
Although it is not very common, the filament may run out during a print or break for unknown reasons. In such cases, the filament run-out sensor is a real lifesaver. When the filament is depleted, the printer automatically pauses and waits for you to load new filament before resuming the print.
Resume Printing Function
The Ender 5 Plus also includes the power-loss resume function found on Creality’s leading printers. This feature helps you save your prints in the event of a power outage. During printing, the current position of the print is continuously written to the SD card. If a power cut occurs, the printer checks on startup whether there is an interrupted print. If it detects one, it offers you the option to continue or cancel. When you choose to continue, the print resumes from where it left off.
